Blyth console table
Blyth console table
The Blythe is a unfussy console table with a slim profile that works well in hallways, living spaces or behind a sofa. Its open frame keeps it light in appearance, while the ball details running underneath the apron give character without overcomplicating the design.
The proportions make it useful for lamps, books, sculpture or simple display, and its narrow footprint means it fits neatly into spots where other furniture can feel heavy or intrusive.
Practical and distinctive, the Blythe offers a quiet focal point in a room without demanding attention.
The dimensions given below are typical sizes and I can make the Blythe to any dimension you require.
- Length - 140cm
- Height – 70cm
- Depth – 450cm
Construction & customisation
Construction & customisation
My tables can be made in a variety of solid hardwoods, and with a painted finish if preferred. Common timbers I work with include:
- European / English oak (Quercus robur)
- European ash (Fraxinus excelsior)
- American cherry (Prunus serotina)
- American black walnut (Juglans nigra)
- Sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa)
All tables are finished with a hard-wax oil, which can be tinted in a range of tones to achieve the desired look.
Painted tables are made from solid American cherry, chosen for its combination of strength, stability, lightness, and excellent paintability. I use a high-grade enamel furniture paint that can be colour matched to any shade from the manufacturer of your choice.
Other timbers and finishes are available on request.
