I take great joy in designing and making unique furniture for homes and businesses. My pieces tend to reflect my personal making style – think traditional craftsmanship with a strong nod to vernacular, Regency and Arts and Crafts influences. Over the years, I’ve learned to steer clear of man-made materials like MDF and plywood. They just don’t last and aren’t great for the environment. Instead, I focus on using natural, solid timber, sometimes mixing in metals and leather for material and tactile contrast.
I enjoy collaborating with clients to bring new ideas to life, from the first sketch to the final delivery. I’m always up for a challenge and take pride in making pieces that are hard to find in the world of mass production and shortcuts. I strive to make things ‘properly’ using time-honoured skills, techniques and methods – hopefully creating pieces that are timeless and long lasting.
